Eta Tau Sigma Alumnae Chapter

Eta Tau Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered on November 6, 1993, by five inspiring and visionary Sigma women, Darvionne Givhan, Kia Harris, Ria Harris, Pamela Steward-Dennis, Jacqueline Todd-Carlvin. Shortly thereafter, on December 5, 1993, Eta Tau Sigma demonstrated its first official act of service, marking the beginning of a legacy defined by purposeful engagement and meaningful impact.

On May 22, 2026, Eta Tau Sigma was reignited by 10 dynamic women, Dr. Tiffani A. Farrow, Janea C. Franklin, Sunshine Gills, Tamika Harrington, Melinda Hill, Dr. Alicia M. Straughter, Dr. Yolanda Stovall, Tamara Terrell, Minetta Tolliver, and Dr. Da’Vonya Wilson. Our reactivation reflects both reverence for the women who laid the foundation and a renewed commitment to intentional leadership, accountability, and community impact. We are a collective of accomplished, service-driven women who bring our lived experiences, professional expertise, and shared values together to me the evolving needs of our community.

Rooted in Aurora, Illinois, and beyond, Eta Tau Sigma advances community-centered initiatives that support women, youth, families, and underserved populations through education, health and wellness, civic engagement, and social responsibility. Guided by our Sorority’s national programs and strengthened by meaningful partnerships, we lead with integrity, compassion, and purpose-ensuring that our work is both impactful and sustainable.
